TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. The x in TEDx indicates an independently organized TED event, and there are thousands of TEDx events throughout the world. At a TEDx event, live speakers and performers spark deep discussion and connection in the spirit of sharing “ideas worth spreading.”

TEDxQueensVillage brings the essence of Queens, showcasing local talent through talks and artistic performances.

This year, TEDxQueensVillage will be held in person, inviting attendees to gain knowledge of the community, education, and innovation during the half-day conference at Liberty Bible Fellowship Church.

TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

Mission

In the spirit of “ideas worth spreading,” TEDxQueensVillage is a local program that brings people together to share a TED-like experience. The goal of TEDxQueensVillage is to bring world-class TEDx talks to Queens, New York in an all-day event that inspires us to learn and think about our future.

We believe creating and starting is the key to completing any task, dream, or big idea.

About TED

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California almost 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives.
